IFirst established in 1772 in Delft, Holland, Red Anchor holds the distinction of being the world’s oldest cigar brand.
For centuries, it remained dormant until United Cigars acquired the brand and brought it back to life for its 250th anniversary.
To honor its legacy, United partnered with the renowned Kelner family—cigar masters with roots in Holland and deep expertise in the Dominican Republic.
Together, they’ve crafted a blend that reflects the brand’s rich history while introducing a new era of craftsmanship.
The Experience
Red Anchor delivers a luxurious, medium-to-full-bodied journey, paying homage to its historic legacy as one of the world’s oldest cigar brands. From the first draw, creamy espresso and aromatic cedar set the stage for a rich and sophisticated experience.
As the smoke develops, layers of driftwood and sweet earth emerge, complemented by a Caribbean breeze-like smoothness that enhances the complexity. A touch of leather and fresh sourdough bread adds depth, while the retro-hale introduces bold black pepper with subtle maple undertones for a refined and memorable finish.
